This is an exciting opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators looking to gain practical classroom experience or maintain a work-life balance.Role Overview:As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing a classroom during short-term teacher absences. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure a calm, productive learning environment. Your presence in the classroom will help maintain continuity in students’ learning and uphold the school’s expectations.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervising and delivering lessons set by the class teacher.
  • Managing student behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed.
  • Supporting students with their learning as required.
  • Ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Reporting back to teaching staff with any concerns or feedback.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • A genuine interest in education and working with young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
