Working Hours: 07:30 - 17:30Role SummarySeeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of civil engineering projects for the local authority. Works include footpath and carriageway improvements, drainage, surface treatments, traffic signals, and structural repairs. The role requires managing live highway sites with a strong focus on safety, quality, and budget control.Key ResponsibilitiesManage site operations to meet programme and budget targetsEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and all standardsCommunicate effectively with the public, local authorities, and stakeholdersReview and interpret project documentation and contract requirements (NEC4)Monitor quality through inspections and testing proceduresAdminister change control processes including early warnings and compensation eventsSkills & QualificationsHNC (or equivalent) in Civil EngineeringSMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, NEBOSH (General & Construction)Temporary works experienceStrong leadership and communication skillsIT proficiency (MS Office and order systems)Experience with managing both direct staff and contractorsFull clean driving licenceCore BehavioursCollaborative: Builds strong relationships with teams and stakeholdersTrusted: Acts ethically and puts safety and community firstFocused: Organised, results-driven, and disciplined in delivery
