Volkswagen Trained Technician Required - Independent Volkswagen and Audi Specialist in Orpington, South London
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
  • Location: Orpington, South London
  • Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 Basic DOE
  • Desirable: Experience with T5, T6, and T7 models
Our client, a well-established independent Volkswagen and Audi Specialist Repairing Garage based in Orpington, is seeking a skilled Volkswagen Trained Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician with a passion for Volkswagen vehicles, particularly T5, T6, and T7 models, to contribute to a busy and dynamic workshop.We're proactively looking for the right candidate to support our senior technician team as part of our growth and succession planning. If you're a vehicle technician with expertise in Volkswagen diagnostics, repairs, and servicing, and you're ready to work hands-on in a specialist environment, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities of the Volkswagen Trained Technician:
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on Volkswagen and Audi vehicles, with a focus on T5, T6, and T7 models
  • Strip down, clean, and rebuild components, including engines and transmissions
  • Install and test reconditioned parts, ensuring high standards of mechanical integrity
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and ancillary faults
  • Communicate with customers, providing technical expertise and excellent service
  • Cover office duties during breaks or absences, maintaining a professional customer-facing approach
  • Adapt to evolving needs, including expanding knowledge of modern Volkswagen models
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Volkswagen-trained technician, ideally with expertise in T5, T6, and T7 models
  • Strong knowledge of Volkswagen and Audi diagnostic systems and repair techniques
  • Ability to perform engine fitting, component machining, or general servicing
  • Confident communication skills for customer interactions and technical support
  • Experience with VW dealer background is a plus; willingness to train and learn is highly valued
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Based in or able to commute to the Orpington area
  • Comfortable with a structured workday, including set tea breaks and lunch with the team
