- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)
- Desirable: Expert knowledge of air-cooled engines, particularly VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) models
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring seamless workflow in the workshop.
- Handle customer orders via telephone, online, and email, delivering professional and knowledgeable service.
- Prepare job sheets, clearly communicating tasks to engineers, mechanics, and engine builders.
- Inspect vehicles upon arrival to assess condition and determine required parts and repairs.
- Coordinate with mechanics and engine builders, passing on job details and required components.
- Shadow the current General Manager as part of succession planning.
- Maintain high standards of customer communication, offering technical expertise and support.
- Adapt to evolving business needs, contributing to the company's growth.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a mechanical or automotive workshop, ideally with classic vehicles.
- Expert knowledge of air-cooled engines, particularly within VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) models.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage operations and coordinate tasks effectively.
- Confident communication skills for handling customer inquiries and providing technical support.
- Experience with VAG vehicles or a VW dealer background is a plus; a willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Based in or able to commute to the London area.
- Comfortable with a structured workday, including set tea breaks and lunch with the team.
