Central London | Hybrid Working | Up to £60,000 Basic plus packageWe're hiring for a Senior CAD Technician/ CAD Manager to take on a leadership role within a dynamic design team delivering a national rollout of EV infrastructure and retail/ commercial upgrades.This is more than a hands-on design role - we're looking for someone who can set standards, lead from the front, and support the growth and development of a CAD team. You'll work closely with the Design Director to manage technical output, coordinate other technicians, and ensure drawing deliverables meet high quality and compliance standards across multiple live projects.If you enjoy combining technical work with team management, this is a great opportunity to build your leadership career while remaining engaged in design delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee CAD delivery across a range of retail, commercial, and energy projectsReview and produce high-quality CAD drawings with a focus on accuracy and detailManage and support junior CAD technicians, managing workloads and setting expectationsWork collaboratively with project leads and the Design Director to meet programme deadlinesCoordinate design information across multiple workstreams, including retail layouts, forecourt designs, and pump arrangementsMaintain quality assurance across CAD output, ensuring all drawings align with industry and safety standardsWhat We're Looking ForProven experience as a Senior CAD Technician within commercial or retail environments ideallyStrong people management or team leadership experienceProficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience desirable (though most work is currently in AutoCAD)A confident communicator who can manage, motivate and support a growing teamDetail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesUK-based project experience essentialAble to commit to 3-4 days per week in the London office - remote-only applicants will not be consideredRight to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this roleWhat You'll GetSalary up to £60,000Hybrid working (3-4 days in office + work-from-home flexibility)Private medical insurance25 days holidayAdditional benefits including Medicash, wellbeing support, and moreSupport in pursuing further education including APM qualificationsThis role offers a clear path into team leadership, working within a supportive, forward-thinking environment and contributing to projects that are shaping the UK's energy and retail landscape.Apply now to be considered for this role.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
