Fitting Craft TrainerHoylake House, Carr Lane Industrial Estate, Hoylake, Wirral CH47 4AX (with travel to other ScottishPower site locations depending on training demand)Salary from £42,000 with 10% Annual Bonus and Single Person HealthcareFlexible Working PatternPurposeOur Corporate business is responsible for providing training support services for all in ScottishPower.This role will be focussing primarily on electrical distribution fitting events. You will also deliver a range of craft skills across the different business units.You will deliver initial/refresher training courses as part of your duties which will fully support each operating plan within the business. You will work as part of a training group to develop their own skills to ensure that all training activities are carried out to a high level, in terms of both quality and safety whilst ensuring low cost and best value for the business / customer.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive support in relation to all technical training need analysisDevelopment of training plans, delivery and evaluation for internal and external customersProvide support to the business with regard to specific products and technique developmentSupport the design, development and delivery of operational safety programmesEnsure compliance with of each individual business and Health & Safety legislationMonitor/Review all training delivery methods to ensure quality and compliance with standardsEnsure training objectives are achievedEnsure the effective utilisation of the varied training/learning solutions available.What you’ll bringPrevious experience as a recognised fitting craftsmen covering switchgear installation, plant maintenance & protection systemsKnowledge of the fundamental business processes within ScottishPowerKnowledge of engineering standards, specifications, working practice and constraintsAn understanding company electrical authorisation policies and proceduresMINIMUM CRITERIAElectrical fitting experience on distribution networks is essential for the roleKnowledge, understanding and ability/confidence to deliver a number of craft and technical courses to a wide range of staff required to work safely within the electricity supply industryWhat’s in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
