This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils across a variety of subjects and activities. You will help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, assist with learning activities, and contribute to both academic and personal development.Level 4 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to pupils in the classroom and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
  • Prepare and organise resources to support learning.
  • Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.
  • Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.
  • Assist with planning and delivery of targeted learning activities.
  • Support extracurricular activities and school trips as required.
Requirements for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant (Level 4 TA):
  • Experience working in a UK primary or secondary school as a Level 4 Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
  • Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support pupils across a range of abilities.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
