This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils across a variety of subjects and activities. You will help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, assist with learning activities, and contribute to both academic and personal development.Level 4 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide support to pupils in the classroom and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
- Prepare and organise resources to support learning.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.
- Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.
- Assist with planning and delivery of targeted learning activities.
- Support extracurricular activities and school trips as required.
- Experience working in a UK primary or secondary school as a Level 4 Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
- Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support pupils across a range of abilities.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
