The successful candidate should be technically competent, possess good communication skills, be ready to learn, & thrive in a fast-paced regulated environment.Key duties of this role are:Support desktops and connected devices in both office and lab/production areas, as well as support various pieces of infrastructure including network printers, network hardware and server hardware in a Hands & Eyes manner.Other duties include:Firstly, dealing directly with clients in a friendly and highly confident mannerSecondly, troubleshooting known and unknown hardware & software issues related to desktop, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and associated accessoriesAlso, VIP support and engagementFurthermore, build and deploy PCs, patch network points, troubleshoot printer problems, support standard software packages, and other general “IT” tasksWork comfortably in comms areas, providing 'Hands and Eyes' support to other teams as well as taking ownership and providing on-the-ground feedback and guidance to offshore teamsSite process documentation and knowledge base article managementNeeded for this roleFirstly, working knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systemsSecondly, working knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive and Intune)Also, experience in Windows imaging techniques (Network & Local)Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledgeFurthermore, remote desktop support tools experienceLikewise, desktop/printer configurationsExcellent interpersonal & communication skillsMust be able to work independently and part of a teamExperience and technical knowledge of IT, PC's / peripherals, and their architectureBreak fix, IMACs, Incidents, small project worksAlso, experience with Ticket ManagementLastly, display flexibility and the ability to manage your day effectivelyApply for IT jobs in Brighton with GTS todayOther Desktop Support Engineer jobs:Desktop support Engineer
