Our setting is a well-established, purpose-built nursery that provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years. With spacious rooms, secure outdoor areas, and a dedicated team of early years professionals, the nursery promotes a child-led approach to learning, encouraging exploration, creativity, and development through play.The Role - Nursery Room Lead:
As a Room Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of one of our age-specific rooms (Baby, Toddler, or Pre-School), ensuring high standards of care and early years education are consistently maintained. You will lead a small team of practitioners, supporting them with planning, observations, and assessments in line with the EYFS framework. You'll play a key role in building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues alike.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the smooth daily running of the roomDeliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activitiesMaintain accurate records and assessmentsEnsure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheldMentor and support junior staffCommunicate effectively with parents and carersRequirements:A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years EducationAt least 1 year of experience working in a nursery settingPrevious leadership experience (desirable but not essential)Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child developmentA genuine passion for early years education and careWhat's on Offer:Full-time, permanent positionCompetitive salary (dependent on experience)Supportive and friendly teamOngoing training and professional developmentA rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children's livesLocation: Cullompton
