- To manage the development of the product through the design handover and sample room stages.
- Responsible for digitising the first pattern into CAD system.
- To apply the required set of grading rules to produce patterns for all sizes in the product.
- To adjust the graded patterns as required in order to achieve the necessary pattern shape for the desired fit and/or to ease product construction whilst still maintaining the desired fit.
- To liaise with design and technologists and be part of the product fitting process in order to produce graded patterns for all product sizes that satisfy the fit concept of the garment.
- To create patterns and measurement information of all product in all sizes, along with the creation and issuing of correct manufacturing specifications to the relevant production facility.
- To ensure trouble-free bulk production of new and existing product that is fit for purpose; produced within costing guidelines and meets or exceeds the specified quality standards.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar pattern cutting/grading role.
- A detailed knowledge of product, patterns, grading and garment construction.
- A knowledge of lingerie, bra cup size & fit would be desirable
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent multitasking and workload prioritisation to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and deadline driven.
- A knowledge of Grading Systems (Optitex preferred)
