– Engage in locality safeguarding, including duty and assessment, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO) and Court work
– Work full-time, collaborating directly in the office to support children and families
– Develop and implement care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
– Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation
– Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic child and family support
– Attend court and present evidence to support the child’s welfareRequirements of the Social Worker:
– Degree or equivalent in social work, plus full Social Work England registration
– Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker
– Proven expertise in locality safeguarding with a focus on duty and assessment, CIN, CP, PLO, and Court workWhy Pontefract?
