If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.2D CAD Technician - Asset IntelligenceWarrington / LondonWhat you will be doing:An opportunity has arisen for a 2D CAD Technician to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence Business.Ideally, you will based in or around the Warrington or London area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
- Produce 2D drawings to in line with GT's quality standards, client standards and industry best practice.
- Assist in the house keeping of the design documentation in line with GT's Business Management Systems.
- The general maintenance of the CAD system including standard drawing sheets, borders and blocks.
- Upload and manage documentation on the clients Document Management Systems.
- The management of design deliverable documents to make sure they are stored in the correct location.
- To maintain the Drawing & Document Register / Transmittal (DDRT) recording when documents are received and issued.
- Issue documents onto the client transmittal portal and manage client responses back to appropriate GT AI team members.
- Assist in providing technical information for HAZCONs, HAZCOMMs, HAZOPS, ALM's, FATs and SATs.
- Production of CDM site layout drawings.
- Production of physical hardening drawings, cable route layouts and civil details.
- Production of electronic security drawings including, IDS layouts, CCTV layout, system architecture, block cable diagrams.
- Production of standard details for enclosures, gates, doors, towers, and brackets etc.
- Production of 3D layout drawings for camera FOV drawings.
- Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
- Autodesk Revit experience beneficial.
- Experience in the electronic security industry design role preferred.
- Engineering or security qualification - either NVQ / Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Graduate.
- Knowledge of BS19650 (BIM Standard) workflows - specifically how models/drawings operate under these standards beneficial.
- Sufficient security knowledge to question, ask and learn.
- Desire to understand the background and objectives of a project or piece of equipment.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Projectwise, CEMAR, Asite document management packages beneficial.
