- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and industry best practices.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring machinery safety, manual handling protocols, and hazardous substance controls are adhered to.
- Manage accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, conducting timely investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver or coordinate training sessions to enhance employee, contractor, and visitor awareness of health and safety protocols.
- Monitor and reduce the environmental impact of the site, including waste management and emissions control.
- Maintain and review emergency response procedures, leading regular drills and ensuring readiness for fire safety and first aid situations.
- Level 6 IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualification.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Proficiency in IT and safety management systems, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
