A part time opportunity has arisen for a Materials Management Assistants to join our team. (18.5 hours per week)The role requires the post holder to assist in providing an efficient and effective Materials Management and Receipt and Distribution service to OSCCA working closely with the clinical teams in order to improve focus on patient care.The post holder will also be required load and unload goods as required from delivery vehicles, inspect deliveries, checking quality, quantity, and reporting any short ages or damages to Customer Services / Logistics uplifts.Cross site cover possible as per service need.Main duties of the jobDeals with telephone and pager enquiries from internal customer departments, external customers (eg University), and suppliers.Maintains department filing system.Provide information or documents to Finance Creditor Payments as required.Record receipts onto computer system.Undertakes put-away of goods in correct Stores locationsUndertake stock replenishment activities within Stores, Wards and other departments.Transport goods to correct departments in accordance with agreed schedules.Maintain clean and tidy environment in Store's areas and stock locations in Wards and other departments.To undertake stock checking and recording information as required, ensuring that the Materials Management section maintains appropriate stock levels.   • English and Mathematics Qualification at GSCE Grade 4/C or equivalent qualification/experience
  • NVQ 3 in Health Care Support or equivalent or be willing to work towards
  • IT experiences in Microsoft office Suite, particularly email/excel and spreadsheets
ExperienceEssential
  • Theatre Supplies Experience
  • Working knowledge of recognised Electronic Materials Management Systems including Web Basket and Electronic Demand Capture interface links within NHS Supply chain
  • Application of stock control software and stock review including supply chain evaluations, including interpretation of RIU reports (Back up Reports)
  • Evidence of supporting the implementation of new products and change within the unit, led by BAND 3 Supervisors and Theatres Supplies Manager.
  • Motivated, Innovative, receptive to change
  • Excellent Customer Care Services Skills
  • Excellent communication and team working skills both written and verbal
