NHS Salary: Grade Band 8D, £103,764 - £108,206, Hours per week: 37Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the post of Assistant Chief Officer - Operations and Governance. This is a senior leadership role, reporting to the Chief Officer - Operations and Chief Social Work Officer, with responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the HSCP's Operations and Governance Service.The successful candidate will provide vision, direction and oversight for a diverse portfolio of services, including Justice and Police Custody, Public Protection, Asylum, Refugee and Homelessness Services, Civil Emergency Planning and HSC Connect. They will be responsible for ensuring that these services are delivered to the highest standards, in line with national policy, statutory responsibilities and the strategic objectives of the HSCP.This role requires a dynamic and collaborative leader who can drive forward transformational change, lead on commissioning and workforce strategies, and ensure the integration and redesign of services. The post holder will represent the HSCP at local, regional and national levels, contribute to corporate planning and governance, and lead on cross-system and interagency initiatives. They will also play a key role in capital planning and in liaising with the Scottish Government on matters relating to operations and governance.Applicants must be educated to Master's level in a relevant field and possess extensive senior leadership experience within the NHS, local government or a comparable public or third sector organisation. A proven track record of strategic planning, service transformation and partnership working is essential, along with a deep understanding of the legislative and policy context for health and social care in Scotland.The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, political awareness and the ability to lead in a complex, multi-professional environment.
