- Lead all aspects of corporate tax compliance and reporting for both UK and international entities within Liberty Blume, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing corporate tax team. This includes defining clear delivery requirements with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds service expectations.
- Create, maintain and grow fantastic interpersonal relationships with all relevant stakeholders including within the team, across the broader Liberty Global tax team, throughout Liberty Blume and with existing and potential customers.
- Mange all corporate tax compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of tax computations and returns to HMRC and relevant overseas tax authorities.
- Oversee withholding tax compliance for both UK and international jurisdictions.
- Lead the UK component of the quarterly Liberty Global tax reporting process – with short to medium term expectation to also take over end to end management and responsibility for all non-US aspects of the consolidation, ensuring accurate adherence to US GAAP ASC 740 requirements for inclusion in 10Q and 10K filings.
- Foster the professional growth of junior team members through effective management, training, and ongoing support for their continuous professional development within the tax function.
- Drive the expansion of corporate tax services provided by the team across the broader Liberty Global federation and to third-party clients, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and value as well as cross-sell into other tax services (e.g. VAT, Transfer Pricing etc) and broader Liberty Blume services (e.g. Financial, Procurement, People solutions etc).
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate innovative and effective technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and address tax-related challenges faced by Liberty Blume's internal and external customers.
- Act as a key point of contact for tax authorities, external auditors, and internal business units, fostering strong relationships and effectively communicating complex tax matters.
- Continuously review and optimize existing tax processes and policies to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure best practices are adopted.
- Extensive experience of UK corporate tax compliance, IFRS statutory accounts tax reporting, US GAAP consolidated
- ACA or CTA qualified
- Good experience with SAP / Oracle, or Hyperion
- Continuous process improvement mindset
- Experience working in a matrix environment where relationships with customers and/or other teams and departments is essential to the success of the Team
