Tech Stack: Python, C#/.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Azure DevOpsA growing systematic hedge fund is looking to hire a senior-level technologist to support the development of its trading and research infrastructure. The firm is expanding its technology capabilities and building out a small, high-impact team. This hire could either be a Senior Developer ready to grow into a broader leadership role or an experienced Technical Architect with proven delivery experience in financial markets.The ideal candidate will be hands-on, pragmatic, and capable of balancing strategic design with day-to-day development. This is not a management-heavy role; the team is lean, so the ability and willingness to code daily is essential. Experience working at a mid-sized hedge fund or asset manager is strongly preferred.Responsibilities:Design and build data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of financial data from various vendorsCollaborate with researchers and traders to develop and support high-performance trading systemsDevelop monitoring tools and dashboards to ensure system stabilityLead the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deploymentProvide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as the team growsTake a lead role in shaping the firm's technical architecture and infrastructure strategyRequirements:5+ years of experience in Python or C# development within financial services (ideally hedge funds)Strong experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, and SQL databasesFamiliarity with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, version control, and containerizationExperience with cloud services (Azure preferred, but open to others)Demonstrated ability to work in small teams and take ownership of critical systemsStrong academic background in computer science, engineering, or a related fieldThis is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing fund.
