Rate: £35/hourProspero Teaching is seeking experienced and compassionate tutors for face-to-face, 1:1 support with post-16 learners who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Many of these young people are care-experienced and require flexible, creative approaches to re-engage them in learning or support next steps.We are delivering a new national pilot programme and looking to build a network of tutors across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable learners through personalised academic, vocational and therapeutic programmes.The Opportunity
We’re looking for inspirational tutors across Worcestershire to work with young people who may be struggling with low motivation, SEMH needs, or gaps in learning. Our learners may not be ready for formal education or qualifications, but respond well to personalised, face-to-face tuition built around trust, interests, and life goals.You may support:
– Functional Skills in English or Maths
– Personalised academic catch-up
– Mentoring and motivation
– Life skills and independence
– Employability, CV writing and next-step planningOur learners may not follow traditional routes and are even having sessions during school holidays should they choose. Sessions are planned around their pace, goals and interests. This role suits tutors who can build rapport, stay flexible and inspire confidence.Position Info:
– Location: UK-wide (travel required)
– Start: Ongoing
– Contract: Part-time, flexible hours
– Rate: £35/hour (reflects no tutor penalty for cancellations)
– Reports: Weekly online updates to track engagement and progressRequirements:
– QTS or strong tutoring/pastoral background
– Experience supporting vulnerable or disengaged learners
– Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
– Right to work in the UK
