ARTS229425INTERNAL VACANCYThis vacancy is open to PGR students who lead or second supervisor is based in the Department of Classics of Archaeology only.The Department of Classics and Archaeology is looking for a Post-graduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) for the academic year 2025-2026. Please note, we can only accept applicants whose supervisors (i.e., lead or second) are based in the Department of Classics and Archaeology.The purpose of the role is to support teaching and learning in our modules, working with the academic module convenor(s) through the delivery of small group teaching for students taking CLAR1020 – Understanding the Past II, in Semester 2, contract to start mid-January.This is a Part-Time, FTC position funded until 19-Jun-2026.Workload details:
  • Assisting with 12 3-hour fieldwork practicals
  • Marking 30 1,500-word essays
  • Marking 30 portfolios (equivalent to 3,000-words)
  • 10 office hours
