This newly created role offers the chance to shape a new, growing team, with a strong emphasis on automation and reporting. Based in Edinburgh city centre, the position is offered on a hybrid basis.The OpportunityYou’ll be joining a brand-new team. The role is pivotal in building out the firms reporting and analytics capabilities, driving improvements in data quality, and enabling smarter decision-making across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the organisation’s transformation journey.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, build and enhancement of the new business intelligence functionDevelop and maintain reports to meet business and regulatory requirementsPartner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into practical solutionsAssist with regulatory submissions and external reporting obligationsProvide data insights to bank-wide projects, supporting key decision-makingIdentify opportunities to automate and streamline existing reporting processesMaintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure effective service deliveryWhat You’ll BringStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExposure to BI and automation tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, Alteryx, or Power QuerySolid understanding of data handling, transformation, and analysis principlesAbility to work independently, prioritise tasks, and perform under pressureHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyStrong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPrior financial services experience is desirable, though not essentialWhy This Role?Drive innovation through automationContribute to projects that directly impact strategic decision-makingJoin a collaborative, supportive, and growing financial services environment
