DescriptionBehaviour Support Specialists - Stockton-on-TeesStart ASAP | Long-Term Temporary RolesFull-time or Part-time roles£90-£110 p/dayVeritas Education are seeking dedicated, calm under pressure and resilient Behaviour Support Specialists to work in mainstream secondary schools across Stockton-on-Tees. If you have a background in supporting young people in challenging environments, this is your chance to make a lasting impact in education.We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as: * Youth work (including Youth Offending Team staff)
  • Prison or secure unit staff
  • Residential care (e.g. children's homes)
  • Sports coaching
  • Social care or support work
  • Mentoring in alternative provision / PRUs
Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 support for students with behavioural and additional needs
  • Assist with de-escalation, conflict management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Support classroom engagement and promote positive behaviour
  • Build trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Help implement behaviour plans and safeguarding protocols
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment
This is a long-term temporary role, starting ASAP, with opportunities to grow and develop within the education sector.Previous school or youth experience is advantageous but not essential - the right skills and transferable skills matter the most.
