Psychology Graduate – Behaviour & Mental Health Support
Location: Teesside
Full-Time | Term-Time OnlyAre you a recent Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in behaviour and mental health support? We are working with specialist educational settings across Teesside to recruit passionate individuals ready to make a real impact on the lives of young people.These schools cater to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have faced barriers in mainstream education. They require tailored support to help re-engage with learning and develop positive routines.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Implement behaviour intervention plans in collaboration with SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that help students feel safe and supported
  • Contribute to safeguarding practices and promote student wellbeing
This Role is Well-Suited to Psychology Graduates Who:
  • Have a strong interest in mental health, behavioural support, or educational psychology
  • Are considering careers in Clinical or Educational Psychology, Counselling, or Teaching
  • May have experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (preferred but not essential)
  • Are resilient, compassionate, and confident in managing challenging behaviours

Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject)
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references
