
Consultant in Clinical Oncology (Urological)

- GMC Specialist Register with one of the following:- i. CCT within 6 months of interview ii. CESR iii. European Community Rights
- Research degree ( MD, PhD or equivalent)
- Site specialist interest in urological cancers.
- Experience of MDT decision making.
- Clinical trial experience in Urological Cancer.
- Acute Oncology on call experience (junior level, supervised)
- Teaching Experience
- Recent site specialist interest in urological cancers including prostate brachytherapy and penile cancer.
- Acute Oncology Service experience (senior level)
- Experience of recruitment to clinical trials.
- Interest and experience in palliative radiotherapy
- Team Working
- Understanding of research methods and prior experience of clinical research trials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to communicate sensitively with patients, relatives and staff
- Attendance on teaching and/or clinical management course.
- Site specialist knowledge in urological cancers
- Knowledge of general management of acute toxicities of SACT and radiotherapy
- Site specialist knowledge in urological cancers
- Specialist management of acute oncological emergencies including immunotherapy toxicities
- Good communication skills
- Evidence of ability to work both in a team and alone
- Flexible approach
