Bruin is delighted to be partnering with a respected Lloyd's Syndicate in the search for a Compliance Analyst to join their growing Compliance Function. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in regulatory compliance and governance to join a dynamic and collaborative team supporting both UK and international operations.The Role:Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the business adheres to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. You will support a broad range of compliance activities across regulatory reporting, policy development, risk oversight, due diligence, monitoring, training, and governance.This is a hands-on, varied position offering excellent exposure to the workings of a Lloyd's Managing Agency.Key Responsibilities:Support the regulatory reporting cycle, including tracking, scheduling, and assisting with submission of returnsAssist in drafting and embedding policies, controls, and frameworks aligned with FCA and Lloyd's requirementsConduct and review sanctions screening and due diligence across clients and third partiesMonitor marine cargo sanctions and support vessel tracking and embargo risk assessmentsAssist with preparation of governance reports, whistleblowing summaries, and combined assurance updatesMaintain and enhance the firm's Consumer Duty and Conduct Risk frameworksCarry out horizon scanning of regulatory developments, escalating key items and assigning actionsSupport the review of complaints, identifying themes and signs of customer vulnerabilityUndertake KYC and third-party risk assessments across suppliers and brokersAssist with Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs) and Lloyd's attestation processesSupport compliance training, monitoring, induction, and awareness campaignsDeliver compliance monitoring activities, supporting underwriter adherence and escalating where neededRepresent Compliance at relevant committee meetings and act as Deputy Committee Secretary when requiredMentor and support the development of junior compliance team membersAbout You:Experience in a compliance, governance, or regulatory support role within insurance (Lloyd's/London Market preferred)Strong understanding of FCA regulations and an interest in Lloyd's regulatory frameworksExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing prioritiesConfident communicator and team player, comfortable working cross-functionallyProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Planner, and comfortable working with internal systemsStrong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to develop professionally, including pursuing relevant qualifications (e.g. ICA or CII)Why Apply?This role offers the chance to work with a highly experienced Head of Compliance in a respected Lloyd's Syndicate that values governance, collaboration, and professional development.
