- Assist the Head Chef in managing matchday and events kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and plating, to meet quality and service standards
- Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef, providing guidance, instruction, and support to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance of the procedures and guidance of the Food Safety Management system
- Coordinate with the Head Chef in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed, and managing food costs to optimise profitability while minimising waste
- Oversee the preparation of ingredients, ensuring accuracy, freshness, and proper handling in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff, providing feedback and coaching to foster skill development and enhance performance
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute matchday hospitality service, events, promotions, coordinating kitchen activities and menu offerings as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas, to uphold Health & Safety standards.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a restaurant, sports stadium or hospitality setting.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for food and a creative approach to menu development and recipe execution.
- Leadership abilities with the capacity to supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the business.
