This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 8 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dining, afternoon tea & bar).Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is currently recruiting for an Event and Conference Services Manager to join the team.The Role:As Events and Conference Services Manager you are responsible for overseeing booking and servicing catering events for the hotel and servicing group events that have been booked by others. In your role you will oversee all aspects of client liaison and build new client relationships within the marketplace on a continuous basis.What you will do:Oversee the booking and servicing of catering events for the hotel, as well as group events booked by othersManage all aspects of client liaison and continuously build new client relationships within the marketplaceWork with both group business and private clients to plan every detail of eventsOwnership for the conversion and management of assigned enquiriesConducts compelling show rounds to win the businessWorks with banqueting/kitchen teams to review and update strategy with a dynamic approachProactively resolicits previous clients and event bookers for future opportunitiesSupports the Director of Events by completing weekly/monthly tasks to include but not limited to; catering forecast, events pipeline, sales strategy meetingPlans and attends in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Group Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, planning visits, and menu tastingsAct as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related to clients needs (ie Audio Visual, Florists, DMC, etc)What You Bring:Previous experience as an Events Manager within a 5-star hotel or luxury restaurantExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team membersSuperb attention to detail and a drive to deliver exceptional standards consistentlyStrong leadership and motivational skills, capable of nurturing, developing, and inspiring staffProven experience in training and developing team members to achieve their full potentialExcellent personal presentation and a professional demeanourSolid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetingsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAll candidates must have the Right to Work in the UKJust some of the benefits Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge employees enjoy:Competitive renumerationExcellent training and career development opportunitiesUp to 20 complimentary nights at any Four Seasons Hotels or Resorts around the world with years of serviceFree meals at Pepys while on duty, including fruits, coffee/tea, and fizzy drinks available throughout the dayUp to 2 paid Wellness Days per yearHoliday entitlement increases with length of service up to 33 daysFree life insurance while on dutyBupa Dental and MediCash plan availableOpportunities to build a successful global careerSeason Ticket Loan & Cycle to Work schemeFree dry cleaningEmployee Experience: Annual themed employee party and various social, charitable, and sporting eventsAccess to Wagestream – a salary advance benefitEmployee Recognition Programmes...and many more surprises to discover!All applicants must possess the legal right to work in the UK
