Financial Controller (Greater Belfast, 75k)VANRATH are delighted to be working with a reputable SME in Greater Belfast as they recruit for an experienced Financial Controller to overtake the leadership of the finance function for the wider organisation. Reporting to the MD, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business enjoying a significant period of growth. Responsibilities
  • Oversee day to day operations of the company ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Build and develop/manage a strong team within the business.
  • Develop the business plan, setting goals for growth and leading on delivery.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Manage all financial functions, co-ordinate and ensuring the accurate preparation of the financial statements, budgets, and management reports for monthly, and annual review.
  • Leading on banking functions, including raising capital, overdrafts, and deposit accounts.
  • Ensuring availability of funds needed for the company's day - day activities, managing relationships with financial institutions and sourcing of funds at optimum value and lowest risk.
  • Manage and deal with external stakeholders, including banks, insurance, and auditors.
  • Management and authorisation of payroll function.
  • Oversee and provide commercial guidance for long term contracts.
About you
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA//CIMA/ACCA)
  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
  • Proven experience in management reporting, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing audits
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and work closely with senior stakeholders.
