Continuous Improvement: We have the courage to innovate and embrace new ideas.DSP Role SummaryThe successful candidate will report directly to the Cloud Infrastructure team lead and will be responsible for supporting both DSP’s own cloud platform, along with third party clouds, including Azure, Oracle and GCP CSP environments. DSP is a growing organisation, and the successful candidate will be integral in defining the standards for and working on the latest technologies and Cloud platforms.Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Input into KPI reporting on Billing and Security Metrics.
  • Manage and configure Cloud based alerting not covered by DSP proprietary monitoring, i.e. Cloud Native Services.
  • Manage and enhance build standards and ensure all new Cloud builds meet those standards inline with the Cloud providers audit requirements.
  • Ensure build standards are easy to implement, manage and maintain.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Managed Services customers around Cloud Security, Connectivity, Networking, Load Balancing, Billing and Cloud projects.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Managed Services customers around operating systems (predominantly Linux, some Windows, some Solaris).
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Oracle Engineered Systems hosted within the DSP cloud environment and on premise.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for customer operating system environments hosted both on prem and in the cloud, covering predominantly Oracle/Redhat Linux, but also Microsoft Windows and Solaris operating systems.
  • Assist in the management of DSP’s own cloud platform, including patching, capacity and availability management and BAU support.
  • Join the on-call rota to provide out of hours support for severity 1 incidents across the supported estate.
  • Provide systems stewardship input into service management, providing advice & guidance to the end customer.
  • Support the PS team in deploying new Cloud environments.
  • Support the transition team in on-boarding new customers.
  • Maintain Cloud specific certifications.
  • Support the wider DSP Group on Cloud specific training and technology.
Technical Capabilities:
  • Broad knowledge of OCI, Azure and GCP Architecture and Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge/Experience of implementing and supporting Oracle Engineered Systems (PCA, ODA,Exa).
  • Strong operating system support (linux) knowledge.
  • Detailed knowledge of at least one Cloud platform.
  • Adept at understanding, defining, implementing and monitoring infrastructure security best practices.
  • Demonstrable understanding of network infrastructure principles including but not limited to Routing, VPN, LB, WAF etc.
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems and principles across both native cloud platforms and nagios-based monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation / hypervisor technologies, specifically Linux KVM.
  • Working knowledge of storage technologies such as iSCSI.
  • Articulate and design against architectural principles such as scalability, performance, capacity and availability.

Experience and Background
  • Minimum 5 Cloud years experience.
  • Experience in working with Cloud environments, OCI in particular.
  • Experience in live operational environments.
  • Experience in working in a Technical Professional Services / Consulting environment.
  • Hold multiple Cloud Certifications.

Location and Special Requirements
  • This is a home working role but with occasional to a DSP office (Leeds, Derby, London) as and when required.
  • Travel to customer site as required.
  • Outside of Office work required as requested by customers, additional compensation will be provided for each occurrence.
