PositionAs Programme Leader for our Postgraduate Programmes, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and student success. You will lead a team of academics, oversee programme delivery, and contribute to curriculum development to keep our programmes industry relevant.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the teaching, curriculum development, and day-to-day management of the course.
  • Lead and support academic staff, including Subject Leads, Lecturers, and Hourly Paid Lecturers (HPLs).
  • Ensure students receive a first-class learning experience and achieve successful progression.
  • Manage course performance through student feedback and key performance metrics.
  • Develop strong industry links and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge.
  • Organise course team meetings, course committee meetings, and examination boards.
  • Engage in scholarly activity to enhance teaching and course content.
  • Support student recruitment, admissions, and retention.
RequirementsEssential:
  • A relevant BA and postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in teaching and assessment in a higher education environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in course and curriculum management.
  • Ability to design and deliver degree-level courses effectively.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for student success and inclusive education.
Desirable:
  • PhD or higher-level research degree.
  • Fellowship (or higher) of the Higher Education Academy.
  • Experience of pedagogical research and its application in learning and assessment.
  • Industry-recognised expertise in business-related subjects.
