- Servicing an Existing cross class book of Commercial Business
- New Business Generation: Actively prospecting and engaging with new commercial clients, specifically targeting accounts with premiums in excess of £10,000 across all classes of commercial insurance. This will involve leveraging leads from our client's existing client base, their dedicated lead generation team, and cultivating your own pipeline.
- Account Development: While new business is key, you'll also be nurturing and developing relationships, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling as their needs evolve.
- Expert Solutions: Conducting comprehensive needs analyses, understanding complex risk profiles, and designing bespoke commercial insurance programmes that genuinely meet client requirements.
- Market Negotiation: Leveraging your strong negotiation skills to secure optimal terms and competitive premiums with a diverse panel of insurers, always striving for the best outcomes for your clients.
- Commercial Insurance Experience: A minimum of 5 years' extensive experience in a Commercial Insurance Account Executive or Business Development position within a broking or insurer environment.
- New Business Acumen: A demonstrable desire and proven ability to develop new business and consistently meet or exceed targets and KPIs.
- Market Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the broader insurance market, its trends, and various commercial general insurance products (Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, etc.).
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding face-to-face and telephone communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and enhance customer relationships.
- Negotiation Prowess: Confidence in negotiation, adept at tackling and addressing insurer objections to achieve the best results for clients.
- Client Management: Capability and proven experience in dealing with significant commercial insurance clients.
- Organisational Skills: An ability to work enthusiastically, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to timescales effectively.
- Professional Development: CII qualification or significant progress towards it is highly desirable. A willingness to undertake bespoke internal computer and technical training, together with professional examinations as required, is essential.
