This is a remote role, with occasional visits to site, but the individual must have a strong focus on Fire knowledge.Responsibilities
- Respond to technical enquiries from internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders regarding the performance of passive fire protection systems.
- Produce timely and accurate technical support for internal teams and stakeholders, focusing on cavity barriers and firestops.
- Engage with project management teams to resolve technical queries, providing solutions that align with project requirements and product specifications.
- Analyse technical specifications, drawings, and plans to advise on appropriate product selection and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Record all technical enquiries and responses on the in-house CRM system to maintain accurate knowledge management.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices and integrate this knowledge into day-to-day responsibilities.
- Educated to degree level (Beng, Meng, MSc or equivalent) in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or fire safety science or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in a desk-based, technical support role with occasional site visits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with technical drawing review is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards related to fire safety.
- Familiarity with passive fire protection systems
