Preference given to internal Trust staff and NHS 'At Risk' candidates across Devon.For informal visits or questions, contact Sarah Dunn:sarahdunn1@nhs.net or 01752 437582Apply today and help shape the future of diagnostic imaging.Main duties of the jobTo facilitate the throughput of patients attending SWITA to optimise the use of all resources and minimising delays.Inputting, accessing or amending patient and other data on radiology management systems, portering systems, PACS and hospital information systems.Providing information to patients about their procedures.Providing reassurance, emotional and physical support to patients during their treatments.Reporting any faults and undertake QA within their scope of practice.To observe patients and undertake observations when required.Conduct point of care testing when required.Cannulate patients when required.Assisting with the preparation of clinical rooms and equipment.The post holder will have responsibility for the preparation of the training environments, maintaining equipment stock levels and ensuring resources are available for all training programmes.Weekly Health and Safety Checks.Please refer to the supporting documents section to retrieve the JD detailing the core responsibilities of this roleAbout usWe are a people business - where every member of staff matters and can make a difference.   • oGCSEs Grade A-D/3-9 in Maths and English or Functional Skills level 2 in Maths and English, Plus either
  • oNVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or HCA UHP Level 3 or definitive evidence of working towards - 75% completed (or equivalent transferable qualification) OR, demonstrable equivalent experience (NVQ Level 3 equivalent) as a Healthcare Assistant in a Band 2 clinical role and agree to undertake the HCA UHP L3 course. Willing to undertake a competency based assessment at interview.. oUndertake and complete the Care Certificate training programme offered in-house
