- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, or infrastructure engineering in a SaaS, cloud-native, or enterprise software company
- Deep technical fluency with AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as enterprise Kubernetes environments (on-premises and hybrid)
- Strong background in infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep/ARM
- Experienced in building or advising on secure, scalable architectures that include authentication, disaster recovery, asynchronous processing, and configuration management
- Expert at understanding enterprise customer requirements and translating them into technical specifications and architectural guidance
- Hands-on coding ability in Python, Go, or C++ to support automation and architectural prototypes
- Skilled in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies and toolchains
- Strong communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and business stakeholders
- Self-driven and comfortable working independently across a geographically distributed team
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Product, and Customer Success
- Familiarity with enterprise compliance requirements, particularly in regulated industries such as Financial Services
- Collaborate with EPD teams to identify, plan, and implement proofs of concept and enterprise patterns that ensure Instabase can deploy with minimal friction across our client base
- Partner with Product and Engineering to represent enterprise customer needs and reduce architectural friction points across the platform
- Maintain enterprise architecture requirements in partnership with product teams, focusing on reducing deployment complexity and improving customer success
- Lead technical design reviews to ensure enterprise solutions meet scalability, security, and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain documentation that enables client-support teams including Customer Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success
- Support GTM teams by providing technical expertise to convert technical objections into solutions, offering feedback to reduce friction and maximize client time-to-value
- Assist in questionnaires concerning architecture focus areas and support Customer Success to enable efficient client platform deployments and successful integrations
- Participate in RFP responses and client architecture reviews, particularly for enterprise and regulated industry requirements
- Mentor engineers and other team members on enterprise patterns and provide guidance to junior architects and customer-facing teams
- Support paid proofs-of-value with architectural guardrails and criteria for successful self-managed deployments
- Define and enforce scalable, secure patterns for deploying compute, storage, and messaging across AWS, Azure, GCP, and enterprise Kubernetes environments
- Lead enterprise architecture reviews to ensure solutions meet customer requirements around authentication, authorization, disaster recovery, and compliance
- Develop reference architectures for repeatability and reuse across global teams, with particular attention to Financial Services and other regulated industries
- Stay current with enterprise technology developments and cloud architecture best practices
- Own complex client deployments and deliver enterprise solutions end-to-end to production
- Subject matter expertise in at least one enterprise architecture focus area (Systems Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or Client Enterprise Architecture)
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture best practices across cloud platforms, systems integration, and client deployment patterns
- Ability to debug and diagnose complex issues in enterprise deployments
- Experience with regulated industries, particularly Financial Services compliance requirements
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality enterprise solutions that reduce client friction
- Strong project management skills with the ability to complete projects of large scope spanning pre-sales through post-sales
