Solicitor (Fixed Term Contract)
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 PA
Working Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday
Location: Greater Manchester
Length: 6 months FTC
  • Advocate in Magistrates/family court and other tribunals HRA would also be good if possible.
  • Law research and present findings to police officers to assist them.
  • File building and management of files.
The Job:
  • Providing legal representation in all courts, particularly Magistrates and Family Court, at inquests, public and private inquiries and hearings in particular in connection with the defence of employer and public liability claims, applications for injunctions, judicial reviews, disclosure issues, licensing and firearms appeals and in respect of civil community orders such as anti-social behaviour, sex offender, proceeds of crime, football banning and closure orders
  • Undertaking law research and presenting findings to assist in ongoing cases
  • Providing a high quality, efficient and effective legal service in order to minimise exposure to criticism and legal claims
  • Assisting with the management of Inquests in a way that represents the best interests of the organisation
