This post is only open to UCL Internal Applicants.About the roleWe are currently recruiting for a Project Supervisor to oversee projects running from our office in Portslade, Brighton. We have several new projects starting, most significantly an opportunity to work on the long running excavation of an extensive Roman settlement site in West Sussex. We are looking for experienced field Project Supervisors ready to take on additional responsibilities, who can work independently and supervise small to medium projects and teams when needed. You will be able to excavate and record to a high standard and may already have some supervisory experience. This role requires you to write reports on the projects you undertake – our dedicated PX team can support you in gaining experience and confidence in this aspect. Whilst we have local work coming up, staff are sometimes required to undertake stay away work.This is a fixed term post with the contract being available to the end of June 2026 in the first instance.About youYou must currently be working for UCL as an employee or agency worker and have at least 12 weeks’ continuous service.You will ideally have a minimum of 18 months experience working in UK commercial archaeology and have a degree in archaeology or a related discipline.
