Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a confident and adaptable individual with a passion for supporting students’ learning in the classroom?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to work across secondary schools in Worksop. As a CS, this role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-planned lesson materials to students across a range of subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, adhering to school policies.
  • Support students in staying focused and engaged with their work.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student participation.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Confidence to deliver pre-prepared lessons to whole classes.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school environments.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
