Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.The Role:The Senior Sysadmin role is to ensure that all Infrastructure services they are reliable, secure, and resilient. The key elements of the role includes:
  • Infrastructure support for all cloud services, building and maintaining infrastructure resources in Azure to meet the support needs through the full product lifecycle.
  • To ensure a high level of security by making sure all services meet our compliance standards, able to proactively address vulnerabilities as they appear.

Core Infrastructure & Cloud:
  • Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS) - Deployment and management of services
  • Entra ID - Advanced configuration and security management
  • Hybrid Environments - Azure + on-premises Active Directory integration
Security & Compliance:
  • Vulnerability Management - Qualys, Nessus (scanning and remediation)
  • Endpoint Protection - Microsoft Defender Suite (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps)
  • Security Hardening - Server/OS hardening (CIS benchmarks, compliance)
  • SIEM Solutions - Monitoring and incident response ( Sentinel )
  • Audit Support - Financial and network security audits ( PCI and CE+ )
Automation & Management:
  • Scripting/Automation - PowerShell
  • Patch Management - OS/server updates (Azure Update Manager)
  • Windows/Linux server administration
  • Microsoft licensing and CSP cloud cost optimization
Endpoint Management:
  • MDM/Deployment - Intune, Autopilot (device and application management)
  • Certificate Management – Public Key Infrastructure
Desirable

  • Containerization
  • Advanced Cloud Networking (Azure Networking, NSGs, Firewalls)
Operations & ITSM:
  • ServiceNow - Proficient in ticketing management (incidents, requests, changes, tasks)
  • Change Management - Documentation, risk assessment, CAB processes
  • ITIL Framework - ITIL Foundation certification preferred (incident, Request, Change, Problem)
Networking:
  • Content Filtering – (ForcePoint, Meraki and Defender)
