- Develop, manage, and update 3D BIM models for various construction projects, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Create detailed BIM models that support project design, construction, and facility management, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to define project requirements and ensure the correct implementation of BIM.
- Coordinate and resolve design conflicts between disciplines using clash detection and coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks, Revit).
- Conduct BIM coordination meetings, ensuring the team is aligned and any design conflicts are addressed promptly.
- Maintain open communication with all project stakeholders to ensure that the BIM model reflects the latest design changes, revisions, and updates.
- Implement and maintain BIM execution plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, protocols, and project-specific needs.
- Ensure that the BIM model is compatible with the project's technological platforms and any software tools used by the client or stakeholders.
- Help define BIM modelling guidelines, best practices, and standards for the organization.
- Regularly audit BIM models to ensure they comply with quality, technical, and regulatory standards.
- Perform clash detection analysis to identify and resolve conflicts in the design before construction begins, minimizing costly rework and delays.
- Produce and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all BIM-related activities, including models, reports, and specifications.
- Perform regular checks to ensure the BIM models are consistent, accurate, and up to date.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BIM roles, preferably in construction, architecture, or engineering projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar BIM platforms. Familiarity with 3D modelling, clash detection, and BIM-related project management tools.
- Understanding of Building Systems: Strong knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP systems and how they integrate within BIM workflows.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues related to BIM models and project coordination.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in modelling, documentation, and coordination tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and with stakeholders.
- Advanced BIM Tools: Familiarity with advanced BIM tools such as Dynamo, BIM 360, or other collaborative platforms.
- Clash Detection & Coordination: Experience with clash detection tools like Navisworks or similar software.
- Project Management: Experience in managing or supporting the management of BIM-enabled projects, including scheduling and cost estimation.
- Industry Certifications: Certification in BIM-related software or methodologies (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BuildingSmart, or similar).
