Job DescriptionPertemps are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to work at our client's sites in Louth, Lincolnshire.As the Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across two sites. This is a hands-on role that requires a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical background, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving plant efficiency and reliability.Hours of work:
Full-time, Monday-Thursday rotation: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, 46 hours per week.Salary:
£44,252 per annumKey Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery, control drives, motors, and related equipment.
  • Repair and replace motors, heater elements, and associated control equipment.
  • Calibrate sensitive production equipment.
  • Perform basic mechanical maintenance and support other engineering tasks.
  • Test emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
  • Participate fully in team meetings and liaise with the Senior Engineer to plan maintenance work.
  • Assist with the installation of new plant, machinery, or equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in all areas under your control.
  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out safely in accordance with company health and safety policies.
  • Be available for call-out duties or occasional shift cover as required.
Requirements:
  • C&G Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation, or equivalent.
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection certificate preferred).
  • 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, repair, and fault-finding.
  • Proven practical experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
