This is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation that values safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement a proactive HSE strategy for the site.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Provide expert advice to leaders and employees on HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training plans across departments.
  • Ensure legal compliance and readiness for both internal and external audits.
  • Conduct detailed accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
  • Manage risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and site inspections.
  • Oversee noise and dust surveys, plus medical monitoring with Occupational Health.
  • Keep the site up to date on HSE legislation and ensure procedures are communicated effectively.
  • Champion environmental sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and emissions control.
  • Chair monthly HSE committee meetings and support global safety initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • NEBOSH qualification (essential).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
  • Proven experience in a similar HSE leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Track record of delivering training and driving cultural change in safety practices.
  • Strong IT literacy and meticulous record-keeping skills.
