The Growth Company (GC) is on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Service Manager to lead our dedicated team across HMP Wealstun, HMP Leeds, HMP Askham Grange, and HMP Newhall.This is more than just a management role, it’s a chance to shape lives and drive positive change through the CFO Evolution contract, supporting individuals on their journey toward rehabilitation and reintegration.As Service Manager, you’ll:
  • Lead and inspire a passionate team delivering group and one-to-one interventions.
  • Ensure excellence in service delivery across multiple sites.

  • Lead and support team members to ensure optimal contract delivery and performance outcomes.
  • Foster strong partnerships with local stakeholders and HMPPS to enhance participant support and referral pathways.
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant services aligned with contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, service quality, and product development.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure information security across all operations.
  • Stay informed on policy changes and market trends to adapt services proactively.
  • Manage individual budgets effectively, ensuring accountability and value for money.
About you:
  • Must have extensive experience leading of supporting teams of within a custodial/prison setting.
  • Results-oriented, confident, and resilient, with a strong focus on achieving outcomes in challenging environments.
  • Collaborative team player who also demonstrates strong initiative and independent problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Proven experience in leading and supporting staff within both custodial settings and the wider community justice sector.
  • Access to a motor vehicle as this role involves visiting various sites.
Skills Required:
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and strategic management across diverse teams and projects.
  • Skilled in delivering confident presentations and producing high-quality reports for varied audiences.
  • Proficient in ICT tools and systems, with the ability to leverage technology for operational efficiency.
  • Experienced in people management, including performance development and team motivation.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets in complex environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Justice sector, particularly within custodial settings.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and its application in people management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation training courses for offenders.
