In this role, you will assist with various functions within the
department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that support our hotel's financial processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes using the hotel's purchasing system, processing them into the finance system with accurate
- Check and process petty cash transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure cash and cheques received are banked and allocated correctly, investigating any discrepancies as needed.
- Verify and process hospitality expenses (e.g., food, liquor for management allowances, staff drinks) to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Actively support colleagues to facilitate the smooth operation of the department and hotel.
- Ensure daily revenues are checked and appropriate controls are implemented.
- Assist with monthly stock / float counts and input data into the computer system.
- Maintain compliance with PCI and GDPR regulations.
- Provide coverage for holidays and sickness within the department as necessary.
- A relevant financial qualification, or currently studying towards one.
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
