The Project Accountant is a newly created role within a business shaped around culture and making a positive impactAs Project Accountant, you'll be the vital link between finance and project delivery teams. Your days will be varied - tracking costs, spotting trends before they become problems, and making sure milestones and cashflows are on point. You'll work closely with Project Managers to set budgets, define KPIs, report on performance, and keep everything moving in the right direction from start to finish. You'll also get to shape processes and reporting tools that make the whole business more efficient.Expect to be:

Managing the project cost tracker, structure, and coding in the accounts system
Designing and embedding new controls for cost allocation and reporting
Building financial reports that track profitability and highlight risks
Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cashflow insights with key stakeholders
Driving improvements in control processes
Supporting monthly management accounts and flash figures
Ensuring invoices are raised in line with project milestones and chasing where needed
Closing out project accounts with full financial reviews
Working closely with credit control and supporting audits

CIMA or ACCA part qualified or qualified by experience. It is all about your knowledge and experience that matters
You know your way around management information systems and how to get the best from them
Comfortable talking finance with both accountants and non-finance colleagues
Commercially switched-on, proactive, and not afraid to suggest a better way of doing things
Able to juggle priorities while keeping a close eye on the detail
