Compliance Analyst

- Conduct research, perform risk assessment analysis, and write IDD reports and mitigation plans, and follow-up to close-out.
- Identify relevant metrics and review compliance data to develop custom risk-analytical reports and provide insight to management for decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of training and support material in the IDD areas to the group, including the Supply Chain Team.
- Proactively work with other departments to help them address compliance risks, and enhance or develop new compliance processes, process maps and documenting procedures.
- Regular interaction with social performance teams to bolster understanding and processes.
- Work closely with the Government Relations team to develop relevant metrics to monitor engagement with public officials
- Support Internal Audit as requested in assigned compliance reviews.
- Contribute to the promotion and embedding of a culture of compliance including delivery of training and communication on compliance across the organisation.
- Assist in reviewing and responding to KYC issues both with suppliers and with our lenders.
- Provide support to Assala’s Data Protection program, as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail combined with interpersonal skills
- Research, and analytical skills, including the ability to quickly and concisely summarize complex issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, international relations, political science, regional studies, business or related area of study
- Fluency in French, whilst not essential, would be beneficial
