A specialist neurological team in Milton Keynes is now seeking a neuro-experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join them and participate in the development of their therapy services.Recognised as leaders in the field, this organisation provides exceptional nursing and rehabilitative support for individuals with complex neurological and additional health needs at their purpose-built residential centre.You will join an incredible MDT in delivering holistic therapies for people with a neurodegenerative condition or acquired brain injury and who are experiencing complex symptoms that affect their independence.You will work collaboratively to plan and provide effective interventions responsive to each patient’s own goals and needs, with access to top-line tools and resources to better support your patients in attaining positive outcomes regarding their speech, language, swallowing and social communication.Speech and language therapy is a recent addition to the team’s portfolio, and this would be a fantastic opportunity to take part in building and shaping a new area of the service.This is a permanent position – working hours from a minimum of 1 day per week can be accommodated.Person specification:
  • (Essential) Registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • (Essential) Registration (or eligibility for) with the RCSLT
  • (Essential) Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating person-centred treatment plans
  • (Essential) Experienced delivering neurological therapies, including for dysphagia
