Join IFtL as a Speech and Language Therapist Apprentice and earn while you learn! This exciting opportunity combines academic study at Birmingham City University with hands-on clinical experience across our Trust schools.You'll work alongside experienced professionals to assess and support children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), contribute to care plans, deliver therapy, and collaborate with families and external agencies. As you progress, you'll take on more responsibility and develop the skills needed to qualify as a registered Speech and Language Therapist.The apprentice is:
in university one day a week (off the job) for face-to-face teaching
one day is ringfenced for placement / guided learning (off the job)
three days are in the workplace learning (on the job)
Entry Requirements: To enrol at Birmingham City University, you'll need:
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
112 UCAS points (e.g. A Levels, BTEC, or Access to HE Diploma)
A commitment to completing the full 4-year apprenticeship programme
