Location: GloucestershireRobert Half is partnering with a national charity to recruit a Finance Officer on a permanent, part-time basis. Based in Gloucestershire, you'll support the Head of Finance by producing monthly management accounts, monitoring budgets, and preparing for audits and statutory reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesTransactional Finance:
- Oversight of Finance Assistant's work
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset register
- Manage payroll and approval workflows
- Produce monthly management accounts and internal reports
- Prepare VAT returns and statutory submissions
- Create financial reports for funders and external stakeholders
- Support ad hoc projects and respond to financial queries
- Present financial data clearly to non-financial staff
- Review and improve internal finance processes
- Help the team meet KPIs and performance targets
- ACA, ACCA, AAT, or CIMA (qualified or part-qualified)
- Experience in management accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of HMRC and VAT regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Charity or not-for-profit sector experience
- Familiarity with SORP, charity reserves, and VAT partial exemption
- Experience with Dext Prepare and Approval Max
