- Join a specialist school setting that supports students aged 11-16 with:
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Autism and additional learning needs
- Challenging behaviour and trauma backgrounds
- You'll work alongside experienced teachers, therapists, SENCOs, and safeguarding professionals, giving you exposure to real-world strategies and interventions used in clinical and therapeutic contexts.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs.
- Help deliver and reinforce therapeutic and behavioural interventions.
- Use trauma-informed, restorative, and safeguarding practices daily.
- Be a consistent, supportive figure for students who require emotional regulation and behavioural support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create tailored support plans.
- Assistant Psychology
- Clinical or Educational Psychology
- Mental Health or Behaviour Support
- Youth Justice or Social Work
- A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
- A calm, confident, and resilient personality.
- Ability to commute to Bedford
- Ideally some experience working with children or vulnerable people (voluntary or paid).
- A strong desire to make a real difference and grow professionally.
- £460 - £500 per week, paid weekly (term time only).
- Full-time hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm) - no evenings or weekends!
- Experience that's highly regarded by NHS services, Doctorate programs, and therapeutic or education employers.
- Ongoing training and development from experienced school staff.
- A chance to develop core skills in behaviour management, emotional support, and intervention delivery.
