- Assist in preparing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and update financial records, supporting the wider Accounting & Finance team in York.
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Provide support for monthly and year-end financial reporting activities.
- Assist in preparing financial summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support other ad-hoc finance-related tasks as required.
- A background in finance or accounting, with familiarity in financial processes.
- Proficiency in using financial systems and tools, with strong attention to detail.
- An organised and proactive approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent numerical skills and the ability to reconcile complex data accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Adaptability to work collaboratively within a team in the life sciences industry.
