We are looking for a Transport Manager to lead a busy fleet operation, ensuring on-time deliveries, full compliance, and outstanding service within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role offers the chance to drive efficiency and performance in a critical hospitality supply chain.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Transport Manager will be responsible for leading a busy transport team, managing a fleet, and ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in line with safety and compliance standards.Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing day-to-day transport operations across multiple shifts.
  • Leading and developing a team of drivers, supervisors, and planners.
  • Ensuring legal compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and health & safety standards.
  • Optimising routes and schedules to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitoring KPIs to drive continuous improvement in delivery performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operational coordination.
Transport Manager CPC is a requirement for this roleExperience running high volume operationsThe ideal candidate will be based in Slough and have a strong background in transport management within a time-sensitive, customer-focused industry. You will be an effective leader with excellent organisational skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.You will bring:
  • Proven experience in transport or fleet management.
  • CPC qualification (National/International) is essential.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (Essential)
